Voidwright / Legal
Terms of Service
1. About these terms
These terms cover the Voidwright website and game services. The Privacy Policy explains how personal information is used; it is not a request to consent to every type of processing.
Service provider: Sean Tyler. Contact: [email protected]. Postal contact: [business or service address]. Effective date: pending completion and publication.
Voidwright is in development. Features described on the website may be planned or in testing rather than generally available.
2. Access and accounts
Use accurate information where requested, keep your account credentials private and tell us if you suspect unauthorised access. Do not access or trade another person’s account without permission. Do not send credentials in public messages or support requests.
The current game stores credentials on your device. Uninstalling the game or clearing its data can affect account access. Recovery is subject to the recovery options actually available; do not assume an account can be recovered through an email address.
Before publication: confirm eligibility and minimum age, parental permissions where applicable, and how players will see and accept these terms before creating an account.
3. Playing fairly
You must not use the service to harass, threaten, impersonate or defraud people; publish unlawful content or someone else’s private information; upload material you lack permission to use; distribute malware; or attempt unauthorised access to accounts or systems.
Do not exploit bugs, manipulate saved data or automate gameplay to obtain an unfair advantage or disrupt the service. Report suspected vulnerabilities privately through our contact channel. Nothing here restricts rights the law gives you.
4. Your content
You retain any rights you have in content you submit, including messages and avatars. You give us a non-exclusive permission to store, reproduce, display and technically adapt that content only as needed to operate the relevant features, moderate the service and maintain backups. This is not a transfer of ownership or permission to sell your content.
Only submit content you have the right to share. Content may remain in recipients’ records, reports or backups after it is removed from view, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
5. Moderation and account restrictions
We may remove content or restrict accounts where reasonably necessary to address a breach of these terms, protect players, investigate abuse or comply with law. We will aim to make restrictions proportionate and explain the reason unless doing so would compromise safety, an investigation or a legal obligation.
You can ask us to review a decision using the contact details above. We may act immediately for serious threats or abuse; otherwise, warnings or an opportunity to correct the issue may be appropriate.
6. Development builds and availability
Testing builds can contain bugs and may need maintenance, balance changes or progress resets. We will identify a build as a test and explain material reset conditions before participation. We will give reasonable notice of significant disruption where practicable.
Roadmaps and previews describe development intentions, not guaranteed release dates. We will not use these terms to remove statutory rights or override specific promises made when supplying paid content.
7. Virtual items and payments
In-game resources and items are for use within the game and are not a bank balance or a promise of cash redemption. These terms do not authorise charges or establish a real-money checkout.
If paid products are introduced, the price, product description, payment provider and applicable cancellation or refund information must be shown before purchase. Applicable consumer rights and store rights remain in place. There is no blanket “no refunds” rule in these terms.
8. Game and website ownership
Voidwright’s original game software, artwork and branding belong to their respective rights holders. You may use the game as supplied for personal entertainment, subject to these terms and applicable law. Third-party components remain subject to their own licences. This does not transfer ownership of your own submitted content.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using the service at any time, unsubscribe from development emails, and contact us about account closure or personal-information requests. Stopping play or uninstalling the app does not automatically delete server data.
If we discontinue a service, we will give reasonable notice where practicable and explain any available remedies for affected paid products. Any legal obligation to provide a refund or other remedy remains unchanged.
10. Responsibility and your rights
We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Nothing removes mandatory consumer rights.
We do not require you to waive legal remedies, indemnify us for every loss, or accept a fixed monetary cap on all claims. Responsibility for loss is determined by applicable law.
11. Changes and disputes
We may update these terms for changes to features, safety requirements or law. We will explain material changes and give reasonable advance notice where practicable. We will not retrospectively change an agreed purchase or treat silence as consent where express agreement is required.
Please contact us first if you want help resolving a dispute. These terms do not prevent you from contacting a regulator or bringing a claim in a court available to you under applicable law, and do not require private arbitration.
